Letter to stakeholders –

February 5, 2016

Phase One activities include the design and construction of the Embankment Stability Berm (ESB) and the cut-off wall.  The cut-off wall will be constructed using soil-mixing equipment.  Starting this week, the soil mixing equipment for installation of the cut-off wall is being delivered and assembled at Liebs Island and North Shore.

Activity related to the installation of the Embankment Stability Berm (ESB) continues from the main access areas of Liebs Island and North Shore.  The ESB has progressed well past Mud Island and the Amil Gate Spillway.

Construction crews have been removing and storing docks for up to 60 days. Owners may reclaim materials if they so choose. If the materials are not reclaimed they will be discarded after 60 days. To retrieve materials, an appointment must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. To schedule a dock pick up please contact ASI between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, at 740-467-9903.

The state park remains open daily and access restrictions are marked in affected areas. Please be aware of changes to traffic flow patterns and follow signs and instructions from flaggers in
construction areas.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by reply email or at 614-221-2800.

All the best,

Ian Nickey
